Have you ever taught something to a person? If you have not, when you do so, and you are successful, watching a person learn something that you have taught them is an extremely satisfying experience. I wish to change the world one mind at a time by becoming a High School History teacher.
I am currently a Junior at Southern New Hampshire University. I am enrolled in their online program for a Bachelors Degree in History. At this time I carry a 3.75 grade point average. My goal is to use my degree from SNHU and to obtain an Alternative Educator’s License from the state of Ohio.
Obtaining that license and teaching History to High School students would be extremely satisfying. I feel teaching history to students would be very important. George Santayana said, “ Those who can not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Teaching history to kids in high school could change the world one mind at a time. I feel like I was placed here, at this time, to do just this. I know this is what I was meant to do. When I am in a school setting, I am happy. When I am leading and teaching, I am excited. When I am studying History, I am in heaven. This is what I was meant to do.
