If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would, without a doubt, choose a field in pharmaceutical research. Growing up, the field of medicine has always been of interest of me. As I see how certain medications can help fight diseases, I aspire to be a part of that industry. For years now, top doctors have been trying to find the cure to autoimmune diseases and cancers. Have we found the cure yet? No. Cancers are so common now a days that almost everyone knows someone or was personally effected by it. I want to change that. I want to be a part of the discovery of the cure for cancer. I want to be able to annihilate the abnormal cell growth without doing harm to the body. I want to be able to allow children to grow up with their parents, parents to care for their children, and loved ones to be able to spend time with one another without the worry of death by cancer. In order to make this dream a reality, expanding my knowledge and education is the first step. Although I am almost done with my undergrad education, I still have a long way ahead of me in terms of grad school. While I will be in school for at least 5 more years, I know that the education I gain will benefit not only myself, but for pharmaceutical discoveries in the future.
