I am attending college for a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies to become a Paralegal. My ultimate goal, though, is to be a Criminal lawyer. I would love to be working in the process of convicting criminals and getting them off of the streets every day. The law is a fascination and my goal in life. I believe everyone, regardless of wealth, personal status, or rank should be held accountable for their actions. We do not always get to see justice being done, but every once in a while, the law works the way it was designed, the way it is supposed to, and that is what draws me to it. I have a passion for it, a hunger to learn it, and a need to defend it. I do not know if I will be able to change the world, but I might be able to change my little corner of it, and maybe make it a little bit better of a place to live. The first step to that dream is to be where I am right now, in school. It has been difficult going back to school after so many years, but I am not looking to quit. I shall then move on to Graduate school, then hopefully Law School. It’s not the most glamorous dream, but it is mine, and I believe it is attainable, with a lot of hard work and determination. I will continue to fight for justice and the legal system, even if I do not make it to Law School, because it is the right thing to do.
