My name is Lauren Bechara and I am your typical, high-strung, ambitious nineteen year old. If I could do what I love to do in the world, it would include many various things. The first one would be to become a registered nurse, or maybe even a nurse practitioner. I am interested in the health field mainly because it is always changing and progressing. I love to help people and this is my true dream. To pursue that, I am currently attending Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. I commute to school and drive fifty minutes away, never missing a class to make sure I can succeed and achieve my goals. I’ve thought much about opening a travel clinic, to where I could help those in need that are less fortunate and allow opportunities for those patients. I believe I can help others a nurse because my heart is truly in this career and I work excessively. I love the feeling of being needed and appreciated, as I love meeting others and building relationships. I am confident I am going to be the best nurse I can be for as long as I am in this career. Other than that, I have thought about joining the Peace Corps in their health field, educating people all over the world about proper hygiene, AIDS, and more. I’ve attended workshops and know that my career will make many differences in peoples’ lives, including my own. I want to change perspectives and give others hope.
