I’m 18 years old, and thus far, I don’t know what exactly I love to do the most. Right now, the one activity I love to be a part of more than anything else is volunteering. I love to give and be given the time to do so. People are so unlimitedly happy when they know you are choosing and enjoying the time you spend with them, no matter what you are doing. If I could earn a living volunteering, I would choose to do so. Every mentor I have, anyone I have ever considered my hero and inspiration, volunteered to get to where they are/were. I would love to travel the world, making small changes in small corners, eventually making those many butterfly wing wind changes that will eventually pile up to change the world. “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples,” a quote by Mother Teresa, accurately describes what I would wish to do. Change starts within us, and as I grow and change, I would like to go out in action and inspire others to spark change, inside and out. I believe the biggest way we can change the world is to do so voluntarily, willingly, and lovingly. So volunteering is what I would like to do with my life, helping so others can help.
