Can one person change the world? I believe so. My dream is to make the world a happier and healthier place, one person at a time. If every day I could make a living walking around and telling people what is so great about them, I would. Seeing a person’s face light up after being given a compliment makes me feel like I have been complimented too. The people in this world really need to know just how great they are, and I would honestly love making a living giving that kind of validation. Because that path of life is not something one can make a living out of, I chose a different path. I decided on pursuing a career in nursing. Through a profession of nursing, I believe that I will be able to touch hearts and minds every day. Nurses come in contact with many patients every day, some recovering from routine surgeries and some on their deathbeds. Hospitals can be a dark place, but I feel that the faculty, especially nurses, can make all the difference in the world. Whether I discover the cause of someone’s infection or just provoke a smile, I feel that I can help people. In order to make this world a better place, the people have to be better. I would like to make that happen.
