It seems to be an obligation of adults to ask high school and college aged students what they have planned for the rest of their lives, and it is ironic because none of us have our lives figured out yet. I am asked all the time what I am going to do. I say that I want to study environmental science and see where that takes me, which never seems like enough for adults. They ask how I will succeed and retire happily without a plan. Honestly, the future seems so far away that my impact now seems miniscule, but I was born to do big things.
I am going to study environmental science. It will take time and hard work, but it is my dream to grow plants, watch them flourish, and improve current environmental conditions. I want my impact to be colorful and widespread. By getting an education and letting the world decide the rest, I can grow and change with my needs instead of holding tight to a plan that may not be relevant anymore. I want the world to improve because I was born, and no person or force of nature will stop me.
