If I could spend the rest of my life making a living on writing, that would be amazing. To become as famous as JK Rowling or J.R.R. Tolkien is any novelist’s dream. However, my personal goal that I wish to reach, is not that. I think what I really want is to scroll down on some website, only to find out that someone wrote a fanfiction of my work; because, to me, that’s best thing. To see that I affected someone so much that they went out and wrote about it; wrote about my characters.
Through my writing now, the hundreds of thousands -millions- of words that I have written and strung together and allowed peruses on the internet to read, I have already affected people. Not a lot, but I’m no where near famous, I live in a small city and sit my room all day and write. Through that writing, I let people know there is someone else that feels what they feel; someone who went through the same thing they are.
Wishing to change the world, is a bit out there, not that it’s not possible as one person to change the world. Changing the world of one person however, that’s a little easier. Who knows, maybe that person I helped, will be the one with the cure for cancer, or they make a big impact on world hunger.
That is my goal in life. That is what I want to do for a living.
