Animals have always been a passion of mine; they have always been a part of my life. I have had many different pets, from cats and dogs to frogs and ferrets all of which have always fascinated me. I would find stray cats and dogs lost in the neighborhood and bring them home so that they would find their ways back to their homes. Not just pets, but I would bring home snakes and bugs that I thought were sick and that I needed to protect and heal. Animals have been an important part of my life and it has always been my dream to work with and help animals. I am going to school to become a veterinary technician to complete this dream. I am looking towards my future as a veterinary technician with sheer optimism. As a veterinary technician I will be helping animals stay and become healthy. Though the job comes with hardships, there is so much good to be done. The job’s positive moments far out way the parts of the job that can be harder to accept. There are also many avenues that you can take in the field from wild life conservation to household pets. Household pets affect nearly every household in the US. When working with pets you improve the lives of not only the pets but also their owners. Animal conservation affects everything on a global scale. No matter the road I choose to take how could it be anything but extraordinary.
