I have an activist’s heart. My passion, enthusiasm, and excitement come to their peak when I am fighting for an important cause. We live in a world and society plagued with inequality, discrimination and unfortunate mentalities of arrogant egotism. People who fight for the rights of others are often overlooked, pacified and rarely rewarded justly. If I could earn a living doing anything, I would serve others and help to end long standing structures of institutionalized and systemic inequality, discrimination and corruption. I desire to achieve these goals through academic advocacy. I will fight for causes and people who have no voice. I am a Sociology major, I plan to attend graduate school and continue on to become a professor at a top tier collegiate institution where in which I will research, write and educate the leaders of the future. Education can never be taken away nor can it die, therefore if I can do my part by educating not only the America public and youth but people all over the world about pressing social and societal issues that plague our world I will have completed my mission in life. I intend to complete these goals aside from any monetary or notoriety incentives, because this is my passion and I believe this is what I have been put on this earth to do. These long standing institutions and systems are a danger to all citizens of the world and hold us back as a human race, and I will do our part to end them!
