Val Saintsbury once said, “Nurses dispense comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription.” The medical field is one of the most challenging degrees possible, however with hard work and determination anything is possible. Growing up as a child, I was always involved in community groups such as the Boys and Girls Club and 4-H eager to help others in any way possible. If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be helping less fortunate people all around the world get proper checkups and medicine for health conditions. Unfortunately, everywhere in the world numerous people need a certain medicine to survive, however they are unable to pay the expenses; I would want to help the patient in every way to get them the medicine essential to their life. I also would give children who live in South American countries such as Honduras or Bolivia general checkups to help their futures be the best they can be. With anything in life come expenses, including helping the sick and doing the checkups, however with donors to charities, this would be possible. I’m very thankful for everything I have in my life, and I have always been willing and excited to give back and help others. Traveling the world and knowing that myself, along with others, are improving many countries’ health would fill me with happiness and contentment.
