“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.” This quote is by a man named George R.R. Martin, and to me it is one of the truest quotes to have ever been written. If I could earn a living doing the thing that I love the most, the thing would be reading.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved to read. It started when my mom began reading me the Hardy Boys books, and has been growing exponentially since then. I am a firm believer in the fact that there have been many life-changing books written that are not recognized nearly enough. If I could earn a living by reading, I could have more time to explore less exploited books, which could have things written in them that could alter my (and others’) ways of thinking. I love books so much that I try my hardest to ignite a fire in other peoples’ hearts for reading. If all of my time was dedicated to this cause, I believe I could change a few lives, which leads to changing many lives, and eventually the world.
