I have a gift of making people feel good. You know the way that middle school bullies were able to pick out exactly what you were most insecure about? I have the opposite gift. I can tell exactly what people have a secret pride about and know how to compliment to make them smile and swell with pride.
There is nothing like seeing someone’s face light up with joy that you notice the good in them that often gets overlooked.
I would love to use this gift to make a living as someone who walked up to people who looked like they were having a bad day and just starting a conversation with them where I could weave compliments and love in it.
This gift could improve the world around me by making it happier and more full of light. So often, only negativity is spread through random interactions, but I want to make people happier.
I think an agency that is designed to just make people happier through interactions on the subway or at the mall or in a taxi would make the world a better place. Finding other people who delight in spreading joy could start chain reactions to having happier cities. Additionally, when people are happier, they stress less and are therefore healthier.
