If I could do anything in the world, it would be, to be, a general physician. My name is Brittany and last year I went through the hardest thing I could ever imagine, I lost my older sister, Jessica, to colorectal cancer. In 2012, she went to her doctor complaining of pain and discomfort, as she had been doing for about ten years. Over the years, she was given different diagnoses from hemorrhoids to IBS but no results were ever accomplished. She knew something was not right. So she fought to have a colonoscopy, since she was only 36 the doctors felt it was pointless. Finally, one doctor listened and by that time she had one it was too late. After many tests, she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. She fought very hard, but it was too far advanced to be able to become cured. As a physician, I would have an open mind for everyone in every situation. I will not look at ages or races, only symptoms. I feel I would be that one doctor that listens, the one my sister needed.
