Have you ever felt like bursting with pride after experiencing the joys of helping others? I have! My passion is educating children who may have a disability. I am currently an assistant teacher within the public school system. My main goal is implementing a reading intervention program with 2-4 students daily. Under the leadership of administration and teachers, I provide students with reading activities that engage the students on their reading level. Upon completion of school, I will be a special education instructor. I love to help children overcome reading challenges, as well as guide them through social/emotional tasks.
I believe in the holistic approach of teaching, this method permits me to not only develop children’s cognitive skills, but also enhance their social/emotional skills. I love to offer children various techniques or coping strategies for various topics. Knowing the techniques aids the children in working well with others. This accomplishment allows students’ self-esteem to build, and their readiness to excel within the next grade level.
I know the world will be a better place with children who are cultivated into productive citizens at an early age. If we plant a positive seed within each child, that seed can and will blossom into something beautiful. I hold fast to my dreams of helping children, it is my passion as well as my destiny!
