As Mustafa Ataturk once said “A good teacher is like a candle — it consumes itself to light the way for others.” That I might personally change the world one day I cannot picture. That one day I help someone who does change the world however, I can see. I dream of one day being able to help every student who sits in my classroom, and in doing so I may have helped change the world. Helping students grow and discover who they yearn to be is every teacher’s goal. That is the dream for someone who loves helping people and will give everything they have to do so. I can only hope that one day one of my students comes back and tells me that I am a reason for their success, that somehow I have influenced their life in a positive way. If that day comes then I know my life will have been a success because I have improved someone’s life. Before I can help others however, I must focus on my own education so that I can teach them what they should know. Education does not stem solely from the classroom but from those lessons learned outside of a book as well. Life is full of endless opportunities and by taking advantage of any experience I can there is a good chance that I will take something away from it. Hopefully one day the people that I have influenced can change the world for the better.
