My ultimate desire is traveling the world; something about exploring a new place always makes me yearn for more adventure. Although I have only been out of the country once, I have visited many states throughout the past summers. Whether it is the feeling of obtaining a fresh start, or observing the lifestyles of people that differ greatly from those in my hometown of San Francisco, I always try to remain open minded and embrace the new. The perfect opportunity to make my dream a reality is presented through the Study Abroad Program that many colleges offer. I would undoubtedly take advantage of this opportunity to travel abroad for not only my personal gain, but also to enlighten my peers with factual stories and events occurring in other countries. After studying abroad in a developed country, my next goal would be to travel to a third world country upon finishing my education. The opportunity to benefit the world by offering my aid and assistance to those less fortunate than us, while fulfilling my dreams of traveling as well as learning about new cultures and traditions will fill me with a regained sense of pride and joy.
