Many children grow up in an unstable and unsuitable environment in which they have to make difficult decisions to survive. Some of these children will eventually be introduced to the juvenile detention centers around the country. My dream job is to be able to make sure these children know that someone cares about them. I want to be a youth counselor who could maybe provide a positive and safe place for all the children I encounter who haven’t been cared for properly. This desire to protect and lead youth was enhanced by a juvenile procedures class I took which shed light on the difficulties for children growing up in hard circumstances. It made me want to get involved with juvenile delinquents that want a chance to be heard and a chance for rehabilitation. All children are important, and my dream job would be to help as many kids live happy, healthy lives as possible.
