I have always strived to help people in any way that I can. It can be arduous to find a sense of direction when you lack the tools or motivation you need. Individuals often times need a mentor with a greater perspective on life, to help them reach their goals. I hope that one day I can give someone the tools they need to lead a better future. I have decided to become a Christian drug and substance abuse counselor.

I believe this profession will help change the world because with God anything is possible. I believe God uses people to help others. His love is greater and I hope I can help people who struggle with an addiction to experience what that love is. I believe that by being a Christian counselor the individuals I help will realize that they are not alone and that they are worthy. I want to them to know that they are important and relevant to the success of this world. Everyone has their struggles, but your past does not define your future. I plan on getting my bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and one day open a Christian counseling center. In the mean time I hope to get real-life experience by volunteering at a counseling office.
