If I could earn a living doing what I love, I would spend my life being a film director. Film is my passion. I enjoy working on collaborative, creative and innovative projects. Directing has always been the dream I have pursued in life. My first goal in making this lofty dream a reality is to graduate with a degree in Multimedia Production, which I am currently well on my way to achieving. I am studying at Oral Roberts University. Next, is move to California to begin interning/ studying with the pros. Then, with a bit of luck and a lot of hard work, hopefully learning enough to where I can begin doing my own projects and working my way up the ladder and building connections in the field. Film/ entertainment is such an influential part of our lives. The screens play a part in molding and shaping culture. It showcases: styles, trends, political issues, new ideas, etc. The movie screens have clearly become the modern day pulpit for those who want to speak. Giants in the film industry hold so much power and influence in the world. It’s not politicians we see young people looking up to, it’s the faces we see on the screens; the fictional characters who reflect and tell us more about ourselves. Directors are wielders of that power, and have the potential to change the world with it. My dream is to change the world.
