Throughout my life I have been recognized for many of my skills such as wrestling, cooking, and distance running but, my main passion lies in rapping. I am aware that most artists have made this form of music a joke however, there are a few such as, I who strive to make it something worth listening to. I first began my rap career 4 years ago by writing about my struggles of day to day life with bullies and home problems but, now that those days are behind me, I can transform my pain to lyrical art.
Most rappers waste their power by polluting the minds of the young population with obscene lyrics and presenting themselves as horrible role models that kids still look up to because it is deemed, “cool”. I wish to use my gift for the betterment of the listening generation. I will do this through using lyrics that talk about struggles and overcoming them to reach a better state of living. By a better state of living, I am referring to being happy with one’s life and having what they need to be successful. I also rap about not being put down by society and rising up to defend your name by remaining honorable, not only the eyes of people around you but, God, himself.
I know the possibility of becoming famous is very slim but, this is the career that would give me the most joy and would have an impact on the young population.
