If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would spend all of my time teaching people the most effective ways to reduce, reuse, and upscale old materials. By teaching these skills to the public, I would change the world by saving it and decreasing the overuse of its resources. In order to make this dream a reality, my primary goal would be to conduct mass lectures and demonstrations. I would have a team recording these lectures and spreading them worldwide around the internet. Growing our own food, raising our own meat, recycling materials, upcycling old furniture, and making clothes are the most important skills I would demonstrate. If we raise our own food then we will live a healthier life free of chemicals. If we recycle materials as opposed to dumping them into the oceans, we will promote life and animal safety. By upcycling furniture we can reduce the amount of wood taken from the forests to make new furniture. By knitting and crocheting we can better craft clothing according to size. Style would be more personalized thus decreasing the pressure it places on society. It is important for people to realize that the Earth’s resources are not infinite. The sooner people learn how to make things for themselves, the sooner we can stop depleting our natural resources in such massive amounts.
