When you think about saving lives of others what actually comes to mind? As for me, the first thing that come to mind is what can I do to save the lives of others and what it takes to actually help someone recover from illnesses. Becoming a nurse is far more than a job or a career to me. It’s a journey, a continuous learning process that I continue to embrace in chances of changes lives of others. My goal is to become a nurse and to dedicate my life to helping people. I’m determined to become a nurse to touch lives not only as a provider of health care but also as a teacher.
My reason for attaining a nursing degree is important to me because I am eager to assist on educating and spreading the awareness to communities who lacks the understanding of healthy lifestyles. I’m inspired to do this because I have witnessed many people with health related diseases due to the lack of knowledge related to preventative measures and little or no available resources. Most people that I’d witness with different diseases and some sort of cancer have pass away and I believed if they had been more aware of their health they will be still living today. Every individual’s health is an important aspect of their life and should not be neglected due to the lack of knowledge. As a young adult, I would like to assist the people in the community to understand the importance of healthy eating and living and the importance of caring for their bodies. If I’m accepted into the Nursing Program, I plan to participate in different communities and schools to help spread the needs for a healthy living.
