Starting from a very young age, my nose was most likely in a medical dictionary or a book related to specific conditions medical conditions. I plan to assist people on their path to complete health and wellness, through knowing how their body works and what needs to be done to assist it in functioning the way it was made to function. This goal has been my reason for past formal and informal studies, and my Associates degree in Science will provide me the foundation I will need to continue reaching these goals.
My plan is to complete my undergraduate degree in both Kinesiology and Nutrition at University of Illinois Chicago, after obtaining my Associates in Science at the City Colleges of Chicago. From there, I would like to become a physical therapist and a nutritionist. Much of our immediate health needs are directly linked with what we eat and how we move- I want to help people function at their highest potential, everyone from stay-at-home moms and athletes. I think this changes the world because being healthy would enable people to unlock their full human potential- if they are not in pain or if they have a chronic condition under control, then they can focus on becoming the next great novelist, the best mother, or the best whatever they want!
