Dreams have always been a big part of the world and consequently my life. When my first dog became extremely ill, I watched as the vet quickly diagnosed my dog, ordered medication, and informed us with clear and concise instructions on how to care for her. Left in awe at the tasks the vet had accomplished, this moment made me realize what I wanted to become. As I researched how to become a veterinarian I stumbled across a quote that a wise man once said, “The best doctor in the world is a veterinarian. He can’t ask his patients what is the matter — he’s got to just know.” I’m fascinated with the medical field and the prospect of helping to bring someone, or something, back to health. Having a great desire to continue my education, and achieve my dream, I have had many people ask me why I would rather deal with animals than with people; it is because people are easy to help, but animals can’t tell you where it hurts and that is the challenge. Pets are often considered lifelong friends. Caring for animals has always been prevalent, as there is a love for animals that can be universally shared. College will provide me with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to achieve my biggest dream. In my life, money is not bountiful, nor is it the most important thing in the world. Yet, money is what can help me enter the path of success and achievement.
