Being a volunteer for UNICEF means helping children all over the world, whether it’s by getting them clean water, food, or helping them get an education. Ideally, I’d love to be able to make a living by helping to improve lives of suffering children all over the world. After visiting the Philippines twice and seeing what the living conditions can be for kids in a third world country, it really broke my heart and inspired me to become part of the effort to help. While I’ve only had the chance to indirectly help the kids through my efforts to raise money, I wish I could actually go and help them first-hand. To make a difference though, I wouldn’t need to even join an organization, I could set out to improve the lives of children all on my own. I could travel to help build new shelters for kids, provide them with food, and help them to get an education.
