If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would first move to Japan; then, I would want to work as an English teacher there. I like to think it would change the world by adding more diversity, to the teacher population there. The reason why is because I am African- American; and ever since I was younger, I’ve had a fascination with Japanese culture. Then when I got a chance to take Japanese freshman year in high school, I discovered I was good at it, and I’ve always wanted to go to Japan and work there. Even though this isn’t a big step in changing the world, I like to think that every little step counts, and that by adding more diversity to the teaching faculty can increase cultural awareness and understanding.
