Most people aren’t able to do what they love to do as a career and have the financial comfortableness they picture having as adults. Usually, we are cornered into having to choose one or the other at some point in life. If I had the option, I would absolutely LOVE to be a baker/cake decorator.
Back when I was younger, I would go to my grandmother’s house for the weekends, and we would spend the whole day inventing different recipes in the kitchen. Being around her and remembering the delicious creations we came up with me make me feel as if the rest of the world deserves to taste the same things!
By following my grandmother’s footsteps, my first goal would be to open my own small shop in Dallas, Texas and only use the recipes we came up with. Then, I would only hire family to teach people to always keep their family first and closest to them. Once the shop was up and running, I would allow people to submit their own recipe suggestions to show that our family, and the rest of our customers are accepting and open to fresh ideas and new creative creations.
I feel like the world is becoming too artificial, which is causing everything to be fake and seem the same. I believe this shop filled with invented goods would portray some creativity and imagination to the world and demonstrate to people that authenticity is still a good thing to have!
