My career goal is to transition into a leadership role where I can push people into becoming successful, both as an individual and as a team. My dream is to take my experience plus my education and take things to the next level, by going from finance to a role in adult education, as either an counselor or teacher. I would love to help adults like me position themselves to get to where they should be in life and career. That would be gratifying for them and especially for me. I’m at the mindset that in order for me to work effectively in the world and get to the next level in becoming an agent of change, I’ve got to make some changes and get as much information as I can in order to get to there.
My goal of developing others is closer than ever to achievement. My first step in accomplishing this goal was to return to college and earn my degree. Next, I am meeting with current managers in different departments at work to ask questions pertaining to leadership. I’m getting as much information as I can to help develop my leadership qualities. Also, I’m taking training classes in pertinent areas and earning various certifications to add to my resume. A college education, in office training and mentorship are vital for me in order to fulfill my passion as a servant leader. I’m learning the necessary lessons so I can turn around and strengthen others.
