I love the concept of “future”. To me, it screams infinite possibility. Not just the old clichés of lasers and flying cars, but the technology to do incredible things like replace limbs and send men to other galaxies. So with this in mind, I decided that my passion would be to be a part of the technological wave that is sweeping the world into a new age of development. I want to be a computer engineer.
As a computer engineer, I could design the microchips that would control the 3-D limb printers, the cpu’s that will power supercomputers that could fit in the palm of your hand, and the software systems that would navigate our future star-ship enterprises through the stars. I know we’re still a ways off from these advanced techs, but I could still be the stepping stone that could lead us there, so when I retire from my work, and this world, I could watch in speechless wonderment as my dreams are met by the eager minds of future generations.
In pursuit of this goal, I would of course have to learn my trade. Which is why I’m going to college. Then, I could further pursue the art of computer mechanics in my studies on the job site, through research and practice, collecting more tools of the mind with which to invent the fine edge of a new age of technology.
My name is Damian Adams, and I’m sending us into the future.
