Since I was a child I have always had a strong love for music. I have always been the person who uses music as an emotional release, just like many other people. As I was growing up I realized that the only thing that truly made me happy was singing. I would see all of the famous singers such as Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Al Green, and many more, pour their hearts on the stages and I knew I wanted to be just like them. I wanted to be able to tell my story to the world and have everyone relate to my music. It wasn’t until I went to college that I started to formulate a plan on achieving my life goal. I decided to major in Broadcast Journalism and work my up the radio/writing field. I believe through radio/writing I can make connections with those in the music entertainment as well as learn and grow in the business myself. It well also give me an opportunity to make my own music and allow everyone to relate to my life story. As grow I will gain the skills and wealth to mentor young women and help set up opportunities for them to achieve their own life goals. I am a firm believer in succeeding and helping others succeed. I want to be that person the youth can look up to and say that if I can do it they can too.
