To earn a living as a Dental Hygienist would change the world for the best because it would increase the quality of living for many. Many suffer from Dental diseases that decrease their quality of living by giving them extremely bad breath, making them embarrassed to be around others. There are also people that do not have any teeth at all or very little teeth. This does not allow them to eat comfortably, as they cannot always eat all types of food or may not have dentures to give them teeth to mash hard food with. It also prohibits some people from being able to talk properly, so conversation is not enjoyable. With the job of a Dental Hygienist, I can help people learn how to avoid many types of Dental diseases by teaching them how to properly take care of their teeth. This job also allows me to do many things that keep teeth healthy. With teaching others how to properly take care of their teeth, it would dramatically decrease the number of people that suffer from debilitating mouth diseases. Those that I teach can teach their friends or family how to properly maintain proper Dental Hygiene, creating a worldwide effect. Certain goals that I would set to make this dream happen are getting my degree as a Dental Hygienist, making sure to work in a large Dental office that gets a lot of patients, and being the most informed Dental Hygienist that anyone has ever met.
