If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would probably try and work in the music industry. What I want to do the most is work behind the scenes at music festivals where I would call the shots and organize every detail that goes on during these music shows. In essence I want to be a tour coordinator.

The main reason I want to be in this career is because music has given me so much. During tough situations, music was my escape when there was no other way out. I know this holds true for others, so with this career, I would help many people just like me find the escape and the therapeutic tendencies that come along with listening to music.

Currently, I’m trying to make this dream a reality. I’m attending Penn State for Business Management, and taking classes that I believe would also help me in this field, like music classes and even one class I’m taking in the fall on theater sound and lighting. I’m also trying to network with people that work in the industry and see what advice they can give me on trying to land this position, along with asking them what skills I need in this industry. I plan on interning with a music company that manages music tours, and generally working hard to try and get this career. There is nothing that I want more than to be doing what I love most for a living.
