This fall I begin the journey to pursue my passion and gain a degree in what I love the most. I am going to obtain an AAS in Patisserie and Baking at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. It is going to take me 21 months to achieve this but it will take me even longer to turn my real dream into a reality; however, I know with a lot of hard work and determination it will happen. My dream is that one day I will be able to own my own pastry shop. Though it is not only my dream but it has become my life. Before I do own my own shop I would like to take a couple years to work in a few of them. This is not only to gain inspiration, but to see what will and will not work for me in business. Those few years of experience will be my training wheels before I throw myself into the game of the industry. One thing that will set me apart from other shops is that I would like to provide summer internships for young adults who are thinking of pursuing a career in the field. So they may gain personal insight to the industry and they can find out for themselves if they also would like to further their education in the industry.
