Teaching to Inspire
All my life I have inspired to become someone others look up to; to become someone great, someone my parents could be proud of. I have strived to look up to this expectation since I began school in kindergarten. Unlike my fellow peers I loved going to school. I loved waking up at 6 am, getting my books together, doing the homework, and getting chosen to answer questions in class. Though I loved doing all these things none were my favorite part of going to school each day. What I looked forward to the most was seeing my teachers. They were always the people I looked up to. Besides my parents they have taught me all I know in life. As a result I want to dedicate my life to teaching others. I want to give other children the excitement that I had going to class each day. I want to inspire other kids to be the best they can be. I plan to achieve this by going to the University of Texas at San Antonio in the fall, majoring in mathematics, and earning my teaching certification as well. Though others have deterred me by having a career in teaching by claiming I could earn so much more money by being an accountant or engineer, which I am very capable of being, the money does not matter to me. What matters is the smiles, joy, and inspiration I could bring to others.
