Truthfully if I could do anything in the world I would want to be a teacher. I am currently going back to school in order to peruse my dream of teaching. I have a degree in business but I was not happy and needed a change. I have always found children flock to me and so I listened to my parent’s advice and decided to go back to school in order to become a teacher.
Teaching definitely makes a difference in the world. Just touching the lives of young children can make a world of difference. Last semester was my first time student teaching. I taught twenty-one first grade students. I learned that teaching is definitely the right career for me. Every day I would go to work happy and come home the same way. Children are like sponges. They soak up everything that is said to them. The children that I have taught and will teach are learning the basis of their education from me. This is the time in their lives when what they learn will stick with them forever. It is their foundation of education. The children will take what I teach them and build upon that knowledge for the rest of their lives.
I plan on teaching special education children. These children need a little extra guidance in order to reach their full potential but I plan on never giving up on them and helping them succeed. Teachers make a world of difference.
