As a well-rounded individual, I would consider myself ready to take over the world with my dreams. Starting off as a 24-year-old college student without any kids, I’ve spent a lot of time in school. I’ve changed my major a couple of times but I’ve always come back to my original passion—healthcare. I come from a family where some of my relatives have certain mental illnesses and with that as my focus, I plan on learning everything I can to help my family. My current goal is to finish with my BSN and go further with my education gaining my Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Mental Health. To help fund my education, I depend on scholarships and I am planning on applying to the Navy and the Air Force so that I won’t have to pay my entire way through school.
I plan on eventually owning my own clinic in the urban areas of Los Angeles because I do feel that a lot of people could use my care and help. I want to own a Rehabilitation Center as well as a Homeless Shelter for my community. I just really want to help bring awareness to my hometown and create better lifestyles for the upcoming generations and those who really need it. Staying educated on what goes on in my community is a must and I plan on being one of the few to actually want to help rather than benefit from others.
