Success, defined by the Webster dictionary is the attainment of wealth, position, honors or the like. Most people define success in terms of wealth. I define success as making a difference in the world. I plan on becoming a Dentist. When I tell people this, they usually react with ‘they make good money’. I am not becoming a Dentist to make money. I plan on setting up my own charity called ‘K. D. Arms’, which stands for Kevin Davey’s Arms. The “K. D. Arms” foundation will ensure all abused children are wrapped around loving arms, specifically Kevin Davey’s arms. I am constantly reading about how organizations are lead by corrupt business people. I want to ensure my foundation does not have any funds misappropriated. Therefore, I will personally review all transactions.
I will pay off my college loans and any debt my sister and parents have. This will allow my parents and sister (who is a teacher) to quit their jobs and volunteer at “K. D. Arms”. I trust my family 100% and think they would do a great job. I will continue to work as a Dentist so that I could network with other professionals for continuous funding. I will continue my professional training and use my skills at K. D. Arms to ensure every abused child will have a beautiful smile (with great teeth). A beautiful smile builds self –esteem and who deserves a beautiful smile more than an bused child? True Success!
