As an athlete who has been involved in competitive swimming since the tender age of five, I understand the importance of safety in and around the pool deck in my community. Swimming is like a part of me. Without it, it feels as if a portion of my soul is missing. Too many times have I seen young children frantically splash around in the pool trying to simply tread water; if anything, I would love to earn a living by teaching swim lessons to people who do not have enough money to simply whip out a couple hundred dollars for top-notch swim lessons. I feel that learning how to swim is extremely important and should be something that is learned a very young age.
Swim lessons can be expensive, and not everyone can just pull out $100 from their back pocket! My dream is to instruct or own a swim lesson program to people who are economically challenged. I believe that I can attain that goal by advertising around my community. Where I live, there are families who are experiencing very hard times; where that’s where I step in. I would like to promote the idea of being safe in the pool by offering affordable swim lessons. Swimming has always been a passion of mine, and I believe that I can spread this passion from one family to another by promoting the importance of water safety to people of all ages for less money.
