Growing up in my household I never imagined myself to be what I am today. An individual who at 16 would lose her mother, become a parental figure to her sibling and ultimately support herself and her family for the following years. Despite the hardships I have faced I believe they are what helped me make the decision to study under Family Science and become a counselor for troubled youth. Helping people is a passion of mine and to be provided with the opportunity to help youth realize their worth and talents would be an amazing experience. After graduating college I want to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to show all the kids who have went through unfortunate circumstances that they can succeed and they are worth it because if I did not have that support for myself then I would not be here today. I will change the world because with each child I help reach their dreams will be another human being who thinks life is worth living, and to me that is something to be proud of. This world needs more love for the people who do not believe in themselves and through completing college and focusing on my studies I believe I will become one of those people.
