Doing what I love most in the world is no doubt something that’s difficult to consider, because I love so many things. And all the activities and hobbies I love to immerse myself in are all focused on helping other people, so it seems to me that no matter what I do in life, it’s going to be centered on helping others. However, if I chose one thing that I love to do and that I could earn a living by doing, it would most certainly be creating music and sharing it with the world. My philosophy has always been to help those that are marginalized and cast aside by the state of affairs of the current systems present in our society. I firmly believe that change is necessary at the root of our society, as well as at the social, political, and economic levels. I also strongly believe that music, within its sonority, tonality, and its beauty has an almost otherworldly power. I have a strong desire for my life to be both political and musical, and I don’t believe that I would be incorrect in stating that by taking two vastly different aspects of life, and combining and connecting them, a new kind of vast, widespread power is born, capable of swaying people’s hearts and minds, possibly enough to change how our system works. Change is not only possible, it is necessary and I believe that creating music in a political setting can make that possible.
