If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be working with kids. At this point in my college career, I have chosen Social Work as my major. I first want to explore the options within the Social Work field, such as being a social worker or being a counselor for kids. When I decide, I want to volunteer as much as I can in order to gain experience in working with the public. I am currently volunteering at a non-profit thrift store to get a head-start. I am planning on graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree in the fall of 2016 and then finding an entry-level job. After I find one that I enjoy and can making a living on, I hope to get a Master’s Degree in order to advance in the field. If everything falls into place, I know that my job could potentially impact the world in a great way. There are so many kids that are hurting, whether it’s emotionally or physically, and my dream is to make positive changes in their lives. My ultimate goal is to make an impact on a child’s life and make their world a better place. Being a social worker or a counselor for young people could not only be my job, but my passion. I have loved helping people for my entire life, and that’s why I know that I could make a living by doing just that.
