I am an Electrician by trade. I make a decent wage, and it is generally satisfying, but it’s not what I love the most. What I love the most is to search the depths of God’s revelation through his son, Jesus Christ, and through the ancient scriptures. I love to talk about all the things that God has done, and is doing, and I love to tell people the good news of salvation. What I love the most is to help people, to serve them, and to stand by them in the brightest and darkest moments of this life.
I believe that I am called to pastoral ministry, which is a fancy way to describe an under-shepherd of God, a keeper of his own flock, and a servant of all people. I believe that I am called to be a herald of the truth that God wills our salvation, and has accomplished it in space and time for those who believe. It is these things that I love to do the most, and the joy that is granted to me in them is incomparable.
My goals are simple. I will earn a B.S. in Religion, and possibly a Seminary Degree or MBA. As doors open to me for ministry, I will serve God and his people in whatever way is asked of me. I’m positioning myself to work for my living in any way, and to serve the Lord nonetheless. If I could be devoted fully to ministry, Amen.
