If I could earn a living doing what I love most, it would be putting dirt bag criminals behind bars. Two years ago, the TV show Criminal Minds gave me a new perspective on my love for psychology and criminal justice. Since then, getting into the minds of psychotic serial killers to catch them and stop their murders has been my dream. This new perspective landed me where I am today: on the path to a PhD in Psychology and a Masters degree in Criminology. With those and other degrees in chemistry and accounting, I would join the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Behavioral Analysis Unit. The BAU assists local police departments in cases involving an unknown subject who has committed murders and has not been caught. The schooling to become a supervisory special agent in the BAU is intense and will take a lot of work, but my drive and perseverance to fulfill my dream will help me accomplish anything I put my mind to. This career choice will change the world by putting people’s minds at peace knowing there’s one less psycho killer on the loose.
