Hello I’d like to share a quote with you from the late Robert Nesta Marley: “One good thing about music, when it hits you you feel no pain.” In this essay I will describe how I will change the world by doing what I love, which is making music.
I believe I could change the world by making my music because when people hear a song that is beautiful and relaxing, which is the type of music I love to make and listen to, it puts them in a better mood and inspires them to enjoy and appreciate life. This makes them less focused on negativity. I believe this feeling is contagious because when you are in a good mood, you want to do something good, like, being kind to someone, which spreads in a “pay it forward” sort of way. When enough people are willing to come together and pay their money to feel this feeling, certain things happen. Stadiums sell out. The kind of money that this produces could be given to a developing country to pay for the building of a school or hospital.
To pursue this, I will achieve my goal of obtaining my college degree, which will help me to earn enough money to find and record a band in which the members enjoy playing and creating freely. When musicians are enjoying the creation of music, other people will enjoy listening to it, which changes the world in a very literal way.
