One of the most important aspects in life is happiness and finding joy in ones future. Every person has a unique and empowering way to contribute to society. They do that by doing what the love most, and together, I believe that we all change the world. What I love most is how life works, and it does so with a power so strong it seems like it may be magic. Only it is not, it is science. Science is the basis of life, it creates life, ends life but most miraculously it can save lives.
There are many healthcare fields that work together to help others and one of which is pharmacy. Pharmacists ensure that patients receiving treatment are knowledgeable on how to use it properly and aware of any risk factors. Before the prescription is released to the patient, the pharmacist also does a drug utilization review. This checks the prescribed medication with other medicine that patient is already on; preventing unwanted interactions. Each and every day pharmacists are saving lives and that is my dream.
I am currently a pharmacy technician and I am attending St. John Fisher College for pre-pharmacy. My goal is to take my Pharmacy College Admission test in January and enter the Wegmans School of Pharmacy in the fall of 2015. I always try my best to succeed even when it may seem like I wont. By trying my best I always pull through and get one step closer to reaching my goal; saving lives; and contributing to the changing world.
