A specific career in which, since a very young age, I have fell in love with the idea of doing day in and day out is the career of Law Enforcement Officer. Even though the career is arguably the most dangerous in the world and those individuals who are in the field are some of the most hated in society, I could not imagine myself doing anything else to earn an income. Even though the negatives associated with the position are always highlighted, there are several positives that do not always gain the same attention. As a Law Enforcement Officer, I would be able to give back to a community, serve the public, and hopefully make society a better place for those living in the community. Upon my entry into the field, I plan to improve the poor relationship between the police and community by rising through the ranks and becoming a police chief. With an inadequate relationship with the community, crimes often go unsolved as the witnesses do not want to cooperate with police. I feel as though the policies and procedures I plan to put in place will revolutionize the field of Law Enforcement and agencies across the country and the world will follow suit, creating a positive change.
