As I stood at the back of ferry watching the small greek island of Paros disappear into the distance for the last time, I knew that travel would always be apart of my life. I had called Greece my home for 3 months, and the thought of never experiencing a foreign land again seemed absurd and heartbreaking. My dream career would be two parts. The first, I currently am pursuing. As someone who is wildly passionate about studying abroad, I am going into the international education field.
When I returned home from my time abroad, I kept in contact with the company I went through. I was asked by them to manage their social media platforms as a part-time job. I will be transferring into Ohio State this year and continuing a dual major in International Studies/ Public Relations with a minor in Spanish.
In the international education sector, I would be making a huge difference in individuals my age. By sending students abroad, the sector is slowly help create a world that may be more accepting of each other’s differences.
The second part would be to work on the side as a photographer. In the last few years, I have become more interested in photography. Recently, my photographs have started to receive more attention, and even are being bought. As a photographer, I have the opportunity to bring joy and beauty to people’s lives. Whether its just landscape photography of a foreign country, or photos of a wedding.
