If I could earn a living doing what I enjoy most I would spend my time helping others. As cliché as it may sound, I have always loved helping others even when it means that I would have to go without. To some the idea of going without just so a complete stranger could have a meal, clothes, or shelter is appalling; but this is how my parents have raised me. I grew up in a very poor home, the youngest of 4 children, so I myself am no stranger to what “going without” truly means. MY childhood was greatly impacted by those around me who were willing to help my family. I can remember nights when someone from church would bring us food to eat, or one of the women who had children that were around my age would bring bags of old worn out clothes so that I could have the joy of “new” clothes to wear. Giving back to others means so much to me, simply because I have been so greatly impacted by others, even when they barely had enough for themselves they always kept an eye out for myself and my family. If I could earn a living doing what I enjoy most I would spend my time finding money for funding programs that help those who are less fortunate, after all, if it had not been for someone looking out for me I may not have made it to this stage of my life.
