If I could make a living off reading people I would be doing precisely what I love. As a society we naturally analyze those all around us subconsciously. There are people who analyze consciously though. Not to judge, but to predict the life styles, actions, and beliefs of another person. By profiling people and aiding those in Homeland Security I know I will be saving lives. However to become an expert profiler years of classic schooling is needed. Courses in my four yearlong psychology and criminology fields are required; possibly longer if I’m recommended to earn my P.H.D. in psychology. Also real world training is needed which will come from internships I will be competing for in D.C. that will no doubt take up multiple summers. It will be worth it though to study criminals and prevent any tragedies to come. This occupation is not for the weak minded, for it takes its toll on profilers year after year. It is extremely difficult to prepare someone mentally for a stressful job such as this one but if I am given the opportunity with this scholarship I know I will succeed because I grew up reading those around me for fun.
